CWU wants to lease part of main airport hangar

Kittitas County is reviewing a proposed lease agreement between Central Washington University and Midstate for hangar space at Bowers Field.

Under the proposal, university would use of a portion of the main hangar and a maintenance shed for its aviation program.

Linda Schactler, CWU chief of staff and vice president for public affairs, said the university needs to increase its classroom and hangar space at the Bowers Field airport as it expands its aviation program.
