CWU to Host Presidential Installation Ceremony May 19

On Thursday, May 19, Central Washington University will celebrate the installation of its 15th President, Jim Wohlpart. This historic occasion will be marked by a campus ice cream social, as well as the installation ceremony that formally endows Wohlpart with the powers and responsibilities of office.

Starting at 11:30 a.m., the CWU community is invited to the Campus Ice Cream Social at the SURC West Patio and Walnut Mall. The event, which will run until 1 p.m., will feature music from 88.1 The Burg and locally made Winegar's ice cream.

The installation ceremony will take place in the McIntyre Concert Hall. The doors will open at 2:30 p.m. and the CWU Wind Ensemble will perform until the ceremony begins at 3 p.m. Reserve your free ticket today at Wildcat Tickets to attend in person or watch the ceremony via livestream at media.cwu.edu and CWU YouTube.
