CWU Theatre Ensemble Presents Short Works Festival
- January 30, 2020
Back for another year, Central Washington University's Short Works Festival will feature five short works written, directed, designed, acted, and produced by CWU students.
Performances of the works are scheduled for February 6-8 at 7:30 p.m. and February 9 at 2 p.m. in McConnell Auditorium. The event is sponsored by the CWU Department of Theatre Arts.
Alex Aragon, a senior BFA theatre performance major and the director of Stars Over Turner Lake, was excited for the opportunity to direct this year since she had previously acted in the Short Works Festival. She hopes attendees "take away a fantastic evening of student-crafted work, leave with questions, and a desire to continue supporting what we do."
Subjects and themes of the festival vary greatly, but entertainment is at the core. Experience the sometimes irreverent, often amusing, and frequently thought-provoking production.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and alumni, and $8 for CWU students with ID. Purchase your tickets online at cwu.edu/tickets.
