CWU surplus sales are a treasure trove of deals and history

Every three to five weeks throughout the year, the Central Washington University public surplus sales show off historical artifacts, give out killer deals and even rekindle some cherished memories.

Ellensburg resident Jeremy Bair helped ignite some nostalgia on Friday when he was rummaging through bins of old CWU athletic jerseys.

“My buddy played (football),” Bair said. “He said there were jerseys down here and he doesn’t live here anymore. He called me; ‘Will you run down there and see if they have my old number?’”
