Central Washington University’s award-winning, student-run publication PULSE magazine will be on display at Ellensburg's downtown Gallery One Visual Arts Center this month, beginning with the First Friday Art Walk on May 5.

The PULSE exhibit will feature cover images and art from the magazine as well as a slideshow of stories, designs, layouts and multi-media content. All of the artwork and journalistic content was created by CWU students as part of a Digital Journalism course in the Communication Department.

Members of the PULSE staff will be on hand at the First Friday Art Walk to present their work and pass out copies of the latest issues of the magazine. A window display will feature past issues from the last two years since PULSE went into print.

“We're so excited to share our hard work, dedication and passion for PULSE magazine with the community of Ellensburg,” said Vanessa Cruz, creative director at PULSE magazine and junior Graphic Design major.

Nicole Trejo-Valli, senior Digital Journalism major and editor-in-chief of the magazine, said, “This is such a great opportunity to feature PULSE magazine and we're looking forward to seeing it up in Gallery One.”

Gallery One Visual Arts Center, located in the historic Stewart Building at 408 N. Pearl Street, is a nonprofit organization devoted to the creation, exhibition, and appreciation of visual arts in Central Washington.
