Chad Oswald is one of only 16 actors invited to join the Professional Acting Conservatory program at the Art of Acting Studio. More than 800 applicants seek admission to the program each year. The Art of Acting Studio is located in Los Angeles, and teaches acting techniques developed by Stella Adler, Harold Clurman, and Constantin Stanislavsky, among others. The studio’s alumni include Marlon Brando, Warren Beatty, Selma Hayek, Cloris Leachman, and Robert De Niro.

The Art of Acting Studio is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theater.

Oswald will begin the program this fall.

A graduating senior in CWU’s bachelor of fine arts in performance program, Oswald previously attended Edmonds Community College. He graduated from Lynnwood High School in 2005. Oswald is also a member of the DogTown Theatre Company, Ellensburg's professional, non-profit theatre company.

His parents are Gary and Carleen (Anderson) Pennington of Lynnwood.
