CWU senior joins Yakima Herald-Republic staff as summer intern

April Porter, a senior at Central Washington University, has joined the Yakima Herald-Republic for a 10-week internship.
Porter, a 22-year-old Yakima native, said she has liked writing since she was a child. During this internship, she hopes to improve her writing and research skills and learn more about the Yakima Herald-Republic.
