Central Washington University seeks nominations for its annual CWU Diversity Awards, which honor students, staff, or faculty, or community members who have shown a commitment to diversity, have contributed to effective change, demonstrated consistent engagement, and actively nurtured a supportive environment for inclusivity.

The awards, now in their fifth year, are a celebration of diversity sponsored by the Office of the President and the Office of the Vice President of Inclusivity and Diversity.

“The annual Diversity Awards allow Central Washington University to applaud individuals committed to making sure Central remains a place where students, faculty, and staff feel they belong and are welcome,” said Kandee Cleary, CWU’s Vice President of Inclusivity and Diversity.

To nominate a candidate, go to: www.cwu.edu/diversity/annual-diversity-awards-nomination. Nominators can submit up to three letters of support for a nominee.

Deadline for nominations is March 8, 2019. The winners will be honored at the annual Diversity Awards celebration on May 8, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., in the Student Union and Recreation Center Ballroom on the CWU campus.
