CWU Releases Special Issue of Crimson & Black Magazine Celebrating President-Emeritus James L. Gaudino

  • June 9, 2021

A special insert celebrating President-Emeritus James L. Gaudino will appear inside the next issue of Central Washington University's Crimson & Black magazine.

The eight-page special section features an interview with the president-emeritus reflecting on his tenure, as well as a feature on First Lady Katie Gaudino.

The overall theme of the issue, Uniquely CWU, is reflected in other features in the issue, which is also available online at CWUCrimsonandBlack.com.

Among the stories found in the printed issue are an introduction to new CWU President Jim Wohlpart, who assumed his new duties on June 7, and "Only at Central," a look at places and things you probably didn't expect to find at CWU.

Other features include "Out of the Classroom and Into the Community," which explores professors who are making a difference not only in their research and creative work but with their community involvement, and "Proud to be Wildcats," which profiles a handful of alumni and members of the CWU community who tell how Central helped them embark on their life journeys.

Crimson & Black is published by CWU twice per year (spring and fall) and distributed to alumni and supporters. Copies can also be found on campus and at the Kittitas Chamber of Commerce, Ellensburg City Hall, and the Economic Development Authority in Ellensburg.

In addition to including current stories and archives of past features from the printed magazine, the Crimson & Black website offers web-exclusive stories and photos. A PDF of the issue can be found at cwucrimsonandblack.com/issues/view-all.html.
