The Central Washington University Foundation is proud to announce the university has received a gift totaling over $500,000 from alumnus Sid Andrews.

The money will be used to create the Allen Vautier Endowed Accounting Scholarship, which will provide $20,000 annually to undergraduate students majoring in accounting at CWU Lynnwood.

A portion of the money will also support the Students First Fund, providing direct and immediate impact to students in the form of annual scholarships and academic program support.

"This is a significant gift that will provide scholarship funding in perpetuity for accounting students," said CWU Associate Vice President of University Advancement Rick Paradis. "This gift is a remarkable tribute that honors a revered professor who had a transformative impact on Mr. Andrews. Sid is a wonderful person and his philanthropy is greatly appreciated by everyone at CWU."

Sid Andrews is a 1982 graduate of CWU Lynnwood in accounting and business administration. He made this gift as a legacy for his former accounting professor, Allen Vautier, who he says laid the foundation for his success.
