CWU Orchesis spring show this weekend

  • May 29, 2015

Orchesis is a Greek word that means "the art of dancing," and Central Washington University's Orchesis performances this weekend will showcase many varieties of dance.

“If you’re going to dance, you need really an audience to perform for,” said Therese Young, dance program director. “It’s fun to dance, but you’re training your body for performance art.”

Orchesis Dance Company is a more than 35-year-old part of the modern dance program at CWU. The annual Orchesis spring performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday in McConnell Hall at CWU.
