CWU newspaper honored regionally

The Observer, Central Washington University's student newspaper, was named Best All-Around Non-Daily Student Newspaper at the Society of Professional Journalists' Region 10 Mark of Excellence Awards, according to a news release.

The award was announced at the organization's conference in Spokane earlier this month. Region 10 includes universities and colleges of all sizes in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska, and the Mark of Excellence awards honor achievement in college journalism.
