CWU food wagon’s menu holds its own

  • October 7, 2019

CWU's food wagon is busy serving up tasty cuisine this fall on the north end of campus, so stop by and have yourself a bite.

Parked across from Barto Hall on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the popular food wagon offers a variety of on-the-go favorites that will suit your schedule and your budget. If you have a few minutes to sit and eat before your next class, tables and chairs are provided.

The wagon, operated by CWU Dining Services, is also open from 5-9 p.m. Wednesdays and can be found at CWU athletic events, the homecoming bonfire, and more.

What stands out about the food wagon is its varied menu, which will change quarterly. In addition to serving favorites like the Sweet and Smoky Chicken Sandwich and Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese, the wagon will be offering seasonal specials made with farm-fresh vegetables. The current special is a Central Harvest Stir Fry.

Other items currently on the menu are the Maple Apple Breakfast Croissant, Pork Carnitas Polenta Bowl, Smoked Steak Caesar Salad, and Smoked Cheddar Mac and Cheese.

Customers can also choose from a selection of candy bars and canned beverages, including every student's favorite fuel, Red Bull.
