CWU Dining Services Welcomes New Assistant Director

CWU Dining Services has welcomed a new assistant director to campus. Ryan Dahlstrom, who joined the team in July, will oversee Student Union Dining Operations and the new 1891 Catering division.

CWU Dining Services has welcomed a new assistant director to campus Ryan Dahlstrom.
Dahlstrom comes to Central from Yosemite Hospitality/Aramark, where he was the food service director. He has also served as director of operations at Union College Hospitality and operations manager at Sodexo Corporate Management. His corporate dining experience also includes stops at Point Loma Nazarene University and the University of Albany.
Director of CWU Dining Services Dean Masuccio looks forward to the expertise that Dahlstrom will bring, saying, "I'm excited to welcome Ryan to the Dining Services senior leadership team. I look forward to his immediate contributions in leading the restart of our refreshed catering program, 1891 Catering, in addition to the leadership and support he will provide to the Student Union Dining Operations team."
Dahlstrom, who grew up in Aberdeen, said he looks forward to returning to the Northwest, where he plans to spend his free time fishing, hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, camping, kayaking, and road tripping with his dog.
He holds a bachelor's degree in business and leadership studies from The Evergreen State College, and a master's degree in organizational leadership from Southern New Hampshire University.
