CWU Chooses Edna Comedy as New Chief Human Resource Officer

Edna Comedy, formerly of Metropolitan State University of St. Paul, Minnesota, has been chosen as CWU's new chief human resource officer. Comedy brings more than thirty years of human resource experience to CWU.

Before her tenure as chief human resources officer at Metropolitan State University , she was the chief human resources officer and associate vice president at the University of St. Thomas, also in St. Paul. She has also served as the chief human resource officer and associate vice president for employee relations at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado; was the director of employment practices and equal employment opportunity at Syracuse University, New York; and served as the labor relations manager at the State University of New York. Her broad human resources background in higher education has included leadership for all HR functions including equal opportunity, labor relations, HRIS, organizational development, and strategic integration. Comedy has an MBA from Amberton University, a BS in business administration from Thomas Edison State College and is expected to receive her doctorate in educational leadership from the University of St. Thomas this month.

Comedy will begin her duties at CWU on June 9.
