CWU Breaks Ground on North Campus Expansion Projects

  • June 4, 2018

Central Washington University officials will formally break ground on a quartet of construction projects that will transform the school’s north campus area during a special ceremony at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 7.

The ceremonial event, to be held north of the Brooks Library (East Dean Nicholson Boulevard, between N. Walnut Street and N. Wildcat Way), marks the formal kick-off of renovations to Tomlinson Stadium, the construction of the new 402-bed Dugmore Residence Hall, construction of the campus recreation expansion that includes a new track and field complex, and construction of a new dining facility.

CWU President James L. Gaudino will commemorate the occasion with a few remarks and there will be the ceremonial “turning of the dirt” with special, gold-colored shovels that marks the official start of the construction.
