CWU baseball and softball rolling, earn GNAC awards

The Central Washington baseball team pulled off a rare four-game sweep this past weekend and the Wildcats reaped the rewards of their dominance of Concordia.

The Wildcats, who became the first GNAC team with 20 victories and the second to sweep a four-game series, were named the conference’s team of the week on Monday.

The weekend sweep of the Cavaliers helped CWU keep pace with first-place Western Oregon, which has won five straight games. The Wolves (14-5 GNAC, 15-8 overall) are a game and a half ahead of the Wildcats (15-9, 21-13), who are at Saint Martin’s for doubleheaders Friday and Saturday.
