  • May 15, 2015

The Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony will be May 16 in the SURC ballroom on the campus of CWU.

This year's class, which will mark the 32nd year of the Hall of Fame, consists of two national caliber teams, the 2000 Women's Cross Country team which still is the highest finishing team in CWU's NCAA era, placing 7th, and the 1974 Wrestling team who won the NAIA National Championship. Joining the two teams are Lou Boudreaux (Track & Field), Greg Ford (Wrestling), Pat Maki (Football), and Dan Murphy (Football).

"Once again we have a talented class with very deserving players and teams," Hall of Fame Chair Ken Kladnik said. "We have national champions, school record holders along with teams and players who represented this university at the highest level, and are truly some of the top athletes to have ever attended Central Washington University."

The HOF festivities will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a silent auction and no-host social, followed by the ceremony beginning at 6:00 p.m. The catered dinner will be provided by Ellensburg Pasta Company. All proceeds will benefit the CWU Hall of Fame Endowment and support athletic scholarships. Tickets can be purchased at Wildcatsports.com/HOF for $35.
