CWU Alumna Named Entrepreneur of the Year

Megan West, a CWU alumna, was named Entrepreneur of the Year on Wednesday by the Washington State Main Street Program for her persistence in opening a clothing store in a renovated building downtown. West graduated in 2013 with a major in Apparel, Textiles & Merchandising. The award was announced at a ceremony in Bellingham organized by the Main Street Program.

The annual awards are given to Main Street communities, organizations and individuals who contribute to economic vitality through downtown revitalization and preservation.

Along with Megan West's Claim Clothing of Ellensburg, the Ellensburg Downtown Association and the Historic Downtown Prosser Association were also recognized.
