County looks at joint management of airport with CWU

Kittitas County commissioners reviewed draft memorandum Monday outlining plans to have the county and Central Washington University jointly run Bowers Field Airport.

The draft memorandum outlines what the co-sponsorship arrangement would look like.

“CWU has identified and expressed a desire to keep their Flight Technology program at Bowers Field,” the memorandum says. “Likewise, the county has expressed that it is also in the county’s interest that CWU’s Flight Technology program remain at the airport.”
