Changes in the Executive Leadership Team (ELT)

Dear Colleagues,
Leadership of any complex organization requires teams that see both the big picture and understand the details. We are blessed at Central Washington University to have a very strong Executive Leadership Team that thinks institutionally and demonstrates deep care for their units. But teams change as individuals grow and evolve and have remarkable opportunities for the next big challenge in their professional and personal lives. To that end, I want to share with you some upcoming changes in the Executive Leadership Team.

As many of you know, Andreas has served at CWU since 2013. He first joined our university community as our Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), then transitioned to the CIO role, and currently serves as Vice President for Operations. Andreas also has taught within the department of Information Technology and Administrative Management (ITAM). Thanks to a dynamic and high-functioning Operations leadership team, Andreas was able to support the modernization of buildings, infrastructure, and technology at CWU over the last decade. Andreas leaves behind a strong team that also helped create the first incubation of a tech start-up on campus, establish both the Sustainability and Project Management Office, and support a safe and secure campus.
Andreas's last day at CWU will be March 15, 2022. An interim vice president will be announced soon. Please join me in thanking Andreas for his commitment to our university and in wishing him well in his next venture.

Linda's leadership in the President's office will be missed tremendously. She has a great deal of knowledge about CWU and offers me great wisdom and counsel on a daily basis. Linda will remain in her position until June 1. While I will start a national search for Linda's replacement soon, given all that she has done for our community, filling her shoes will be a major effort.
Please join me in congratulating both Andreas and Linda in their future endeavors and thanking them for their dedicated service.
Sincerely,
Jim Wohlpart
CWU President
