Central Washington University conducts ribbon-cutting ceremonies on Friday, November 9, for a pair of new projects that enhance the campus recreation and athletics programs.

• At 2 p.m., a ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled at the newly-constructed Recreation Sports Complex (RSC), west of Tomlinson Stadium.

• At 3:30 p.m., a ceremony is scheduled for the new Freedman-Remak Student-Athlete Academic Success Center (Room 405) on the fourth floor of the Brooks Library.

The new Recreation Sports Complex provides CWU students, the varsity track and field and cross country programs, and academic departments a new state-of-the-art facility for play and practice.

The Freedman-Remak Student-Athlete Academic Success Center provides approximately 425 student-athletes with a facility that offers academic advising, study tables, grade checks, and tutoring.

CWU President James L. Gaudino will be joined by donors and other dignitaries at both events.
