The Washington State Patrol is urging drivers to be cautious on I-90 going either direction between the Thorp exit and Indian John Rest Area, and especially near Elk Heights. The reason is numerous one-car slides into the median have been reported, caused by compact snow and ice on the roadway, and drivers failing to reduce speeds based on the conditions.
