Dear CWU Employees:

With the retirement of Vice President Sharon O’Hare at the end of July, I have appointed Josh Hibbard to serve as the university’s interim Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management. Josh currently is CWU’s Associate Vice President for Admissions and Enrollment.

Josh and the entire admissions and enrollment team have done an outstanding job of ensuring Central’s enrollment goals are being met. His appointment provides valuable continuity in the division and allows us to maintain our momentum in terms of enrollment strategies.

In his interim role, Josh, in collaboration with executive leadership, will implement the university’s recently-adopted strategic enrollment plan, which defines retention and recruitment activities, financial aid policies and administration, and enrollment programming. He will also oversee enrollment outreach as well as Admissions, Student Financial Services, and the Game On! Program.

Central has experienced substantial growth in first-year student enrollment in recent years and we thank Vice President O’Hare for her leadership in helping CWU to become one of Washington’s most coveted destinations for college-bound students.

We will begin a national search after the first of the year for an ongoing vice president of strategic enrollment management.

Sincerely,

James L. Gaudino

President
