Randy and Kelsey met while students at Central Washington University in 2014. Both now alumni, they wanted to bring their wedding back to the town where their love story began. As huge outdoor enthusiasts, Springwood Ranch in Thorp was the perfect backdrop for their big day, with hundreds of acres surrounding a historic barn with a river burbling nearby. In keeping with the natural theme, the color scheme was simple, consisting of greenery and natural tones. Ellensburg Floral created arrangements to match a whimsical green backdrop and the dark green bridesmaids’ dresses.

flyfishing in the creek, while the groomsmen played mini golf. The bride gifted the groom with American flag socks the morning of the wedding, and got a pair for herself, which they both wore that day along with their cowboy boots. The mother of the bride took a piece of the groom’s old work jeans and made a heart patch for the inside of the wedding dress as her “something blue.” The couple’s dog, Benelli, made her appearance with a matching floral collar for the ceremony and got to walk down the aisle with the groom’s sister.

The couple was married by the groom’s grandfather in an emotional ceremony. At the reception, the couple tied in their CWU roots by including DJs from “88.1 The ‘Burg,” the student radio station. They even got a surprise visit by Wellington the Wildcat when dancing began.
