The Central Washington University Department of Music invites the CWU and Ellensburg communities to attend this weekend’s Piano Extravaganza at the McIntyre Music Building.

The Saturday, May 3, event will feature CWU pianists and youth dancers from the Ellensburg Dance Ensemble. The concert begins at 3 p.m. in the Hertz Concert Hall.

Tickets are available on the Wildcat Tickets website. Cost is $15 for general admission and $10 for seniors, students, and CWU alumni.

The program will feature selections from the soundtrack of Star Wars for four hands (two pianists); heartfelt melodies of Brahms's Romances for six hands; and Lavignac's exhilarating Galop March for eight hands.

Other highlights include a heart-warming collaboration of young dancers with two piano works of McCray's Circus Suite, plus improvisations from CWU jazz pianists. This memorable afternoon of music is designed to showcase a vast range of expression for a variety of pianists.
