The Ellensburg community is invited to join CWU in welcoming internationally renowned Celtic music group Everdream to campus on Thursday, December 5.

The all-female trio of harp, violin, and voice is making a series of Northwest stops next month and will be visiting Ellensburg for the first time ever to present “A Celtic Christmas.” Known for their haunting sound, Irish charm, and extravagant dresses, Everdream puts on a holiday event for music lovers of all ages to enjoy.

The 7 p.m. show in McConnell Auditorium will transport audiences to Ireland to hear beloved Christmas songs and Irish tunes performed by three of Ireland’s most accomplished musical artists, Emer Barry, Mary McCague, and Teresa O’Donnell.

The group will perform favorite Celtic and Christmas classics, including “Danny Boy” and “Silent Night,” plus unique Irish Christmas songs, magical movie songs, toe-tapping jigs and reels, and their chart-topping version of “O Holy Night.”

General admission tickets for “A Celtic Christmas” are $30 and can be purchased through Wildcat Tickets. CWU faculty and staff will receive a $3 off discount, while CWU students, seniors, children, and military veterans cost $23.50. (Please note: A $3 convenience fee applies per ticket).

The group’s website describes their sound as “classical music with a Celtic twist and a modern edge.” Their music combines opera, traditional, and Celtic-infused chart music, but they also bring a touch of Irish wit and charm to each performance. Each member of the group holds a master’s degree in music, and all three have performed on international stages with well-known artists such as Sinead O'Connor and Michael Buble.

Everdream has been visiting the Pacific Northwest for the past 10 years and will also be making stops in Yakima, Walla Walla, Wenatchee, and Idaho next month.
