The annual Great Shakeout event is quickly approaching! October 17, 2019 at precisely 10:17 a.m., Central Washington University will join organizations around the world in practicing the "DROP, COVER & HOLD ON" earthquake safety skill.

Participating is a great way to be prepared to survive and recover quickly from a real earthquake.

Departmental participation at CWU is voluntary, however Central will be utilizing the emergency Alert! system to notify the campus as if it were a real event.

Download the Rave Guardian App to your mobile device now, to ensure you receive emergency alerts via WiFi.

For more information on how to not only survive an earthquake, but also detailed preparedness steps you can take right now, check out CWU's earthquake resources page.
