The CWU Board Ambassadors Program is your opportunity to bring your passion for CWU, career knowledge, and former board experience with the CWU Foundation Board, CWU Alumni Association Board, or CWU Board of Trustees to help support and implement current initiatives.

What is the purpose of the CWU Board Ambassadors Program?
The purpose of the program is to:
- Provide an opportunity for former CWU board members to stay connected to CWU and involved in the life of the CWU community, but at a lower level of intensity than during their board service.
- Encourage former board members who remain connected in broader professional or community networks to stay informed about CWU activities.
- Provide the opportunity to continue to give back in multiple ways that support our students and the university.

Who can be a CWU Board Ambassador?
Former members of the CWU Board of Trustees, Foundation Board, and Alumni Association may request to participate in the program.

What is the impact of a CWU Board Ambassador?
- Involvement means a continued meaningful role in promoting the success of CWU students.
- By advocating for CWU in their communities, Board Ambassadors help build engagement with other alumni and friends and continue to grow our community of supporters.

When do CWU Board Ambassadors meet?
- All Board Ambassadors are invited to meet as a group twice a year:
- Participation in the annual Board Summit in fall
- Attendance at a university update address in spring
- Board Ambassadors meet with CWU faculty, students and staff as needed depending on involvement in certain programs.

What do CWU Board Ambassadors do?
CWU Board Ambassadors are encouraged to participate by taking part in at least one of these activities annually:
- Attend one of the two in-person Board Ambassador events on the CWU Ellensburg campus each year to stay abreast of current CWU activities and initiatives.
- Sharing professional experiences and knowledge by joining speaking or judging bureaus. Bureaus formed to express interest in speaking to a group of students on various topics or judge programs (such as SOURCE). Deans reference bureaus when they have a need.
- Help recruit new students to enroll at CWU.
- Help recruit other volunteers to join CWU boards.
Board Ambassadors will be encouraged to make a gift of any size to either the Wildcat Promise program or the Students First Fund, or another area of their liking.
Additionally, Board Ambassadors could be asked to represent CWU in one of the following ways:
- Volunteer at CWU programs or events in other meaningful ways.
- Agree to act as a representative of CWU at community events.
- Engage with government officials, prospective donors, and other important people who can aid CWU.

Who manages the CWU Board Ambassadors Program?
