Director of Development (Job ID 5895)

Central Washington University is recruiting a Director of Development (DOD) to join our University Advancement team in Seattle, Washington or Ellensburg, Washington.

The DOD is an externally facing position that is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospective and current donors to CWU, including alumni, parents, friends, and other constituents’ groups. The DOD will focus on fundraising priorities articulated by university leadership and have a focus of activity on major gifts, managing a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects within the College of Business, among other areas. Travel throughout Washington state and occasional out of state travel is required. All employees are expected to support CWU’s commitment to diversity and to bring and support inclusion into the university environment.

This position reports to the Assistant Vice President for Development (either Ellensburg or West side, depending on assignment), and the Dean of the College of Business. The DOD will work closely with deans, department chairs, unit/program directors, University Advancement staff and other faculty/staff to ensure that cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities are in line with university and college goals and policies and procedures.

We're offering a salary, depending on experience, from $80,000-$100,000 annually plus the amazing CWU benefits
