Volha Isakava
Professor
Volha Isakava is Professor and Chair in the Department of World Languages and Cultures. She coordinates the Russian Studies Program and Global Cultural Training Certificate. She teaches all levels of Russian language and Russian culture courses, such as RUSS 200 - The Art of the Protest: Censorship and Resistance in Russian Culture. Her area of expertise is East Slavic cinemas and visual cultures, particularly cinemas of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine, and globalization of cinema and popular culture. She teaches WLC 311 - Popular Cultures of the World; and KRN 311 - Korean Cinema and Visual Culture. Volha's latest research is on Belarusian horror cinema.
