Malynda Dyer

Program Coordinator

Malynda Dyer serves as the Program Coordinator for the Veteran & Military-Connected Student Center, where she is dedicated to supporting veterans and military-connected students through impactful programming, resource development, and community engagement. She holds an Associate of Applied Science–Transfer (AAS-T) in Business Administration and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management. Over the past five years, she has worked with Yakima Valley College’s Disability Support Services, helping students navigate academic challenges and achieve success. Her professional experience also includes roles with Morale, Welfare, and Recreation at Joint Base Lewis-McChord and the Yakima Training Center, as well as the Army Community Services Relocation Assistance Program at Fort Belvoir, Virginia—experiences that have shaped her strong commitment to serving military-connected communities.

In addition to her work in higher education and veteran support, Malynda currently serves as the Executive Assistant and Marketing Director for a local celebrity chef known as the Fat Pastor, where she supports brand development, marketing strategy, and event coordination. Her diverse professional background reflects a passion for building meaningful connections, supporting others, and creating engaging, high-impact experiences.

Outside of her professional work, Malynda enjoys spending time with her children and family, traveling, and exploring the Pacific Northwest. A self-described foodie, she loves going on road trips and participating in cooking competitions and events with her Fat Pastor team.

At the heart of everything she does is a genuine commitment to helping veterans and students reach their goals and define success on their own terms.
