Kathryn Stahl

Assistant Professor

Kathryn Stahl (she/her) is an Assistant Professor of Performance at Central Washington University. At CWU she teaches performance, directing, devising, arts integration, and youth theatre courses. She earned her BFA in acting and Theatre Education certification from Central Washington University. Additionally, in 2013 she was named one of the Top Ten Student Teachers from CWU. She spent two years in Nebraska, working for The Omaha Children's Theater Company as an actor, director and teaching artist. Kathryn also enjoyed collaborating on the New Works programming. In 2018, she earned her MFA in acting from Michigan State University. When not on campus, Kathryn can be seen on stage and in the director's chair for many companies in the South Puget Sound. For the past eight years she has been running summer production camps through Auburn Avenue Theater. Kathryn has focused much of her scholarship toward developing theatre for neurodiverse audiences, advocating arts accessibility, and devising sensory experiences.
