Issac Vargas Garcia

Dr. Issac Vargas has had the opportunity to share the stage with many outstanding Yamaha, D’Addario, and Grammy-Award-winning performing artists as well as performed with large ensembles in national conventions such as TMEA in San Antonio, TX, and CBDNA in Houston, TX. In 2018, Vargas was invited to be a staff accompanist for “Music in the Marche” in Mondavio, Italy as well as the “Chloe Trevor Music Academy” in 2018 and 2019. During the summer of 2020, Vargas accepted a fellowship with the “International Summer Opera Festival in Morelia” that was conducted online with singers such as Aylin Perez. Vargas has played for numerous masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Alessio Bax, Christopher O’Riley, David Koreevar, and William Westney. Vargas has participated in international piano competitions, including The Sixth International Competition “Saint Petersburg Reflected in World’s Music”, in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he was awarded first place in the ensemble category. In 2015, he was presented with the “Outstanding Accompanist Award” by the National Association of Teachers of Singing and was awarded 3rd place in the NOVVY international piano competition, solo division.

Vargas was the pianist for Amarillo Opera where he collaborated with singers from outstanding Young Artists Programs such as The Met Opera, The Merola Opera Program, The Chicago Lyric Opera, LA Opera, and Palm Beach Opera. Vargas also participated in the prestigious NATS Intern Program in 2023, which was held in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
