What's your favorite class to teach?
I don't have a favorite! Each course I teach has its own unique qualities. For example, I love teaching project management because personally speaking, I love organizing complex things and breaking them down into smaller manageable tasks. I love teaching Business Communication because this is a skill we all must have, and can always get better at. I love teaching the variety of Administrative Management classes because concepts like leadership and training/development are so incredibly real-world and help us understand ourselves better.
My advice to students...
In my teaching, I focus on a learner-centered model which consists of case studies, discussion, activities, and group work. My online classes are extremely active as I’m a big believer in project-based learning. In my online classes, you will never feel like a "number;" instead you will feel engaged and mentored as you learn challenging concepts in a fast-paced, organized, and rich online classroom. My advice to students: Spend a bit of time each day working on your online classes. Try to have fun while you’re doing it. And, always remember learning is an opportunity that not everyone has—embrace!
