Biography
Dr. Myers is a lecturer in communication studies. She earned her Ph.D. at Kent State University and her master’s degree at the University of Georgia. Her scholarship centers around emergency health communication with underserved populations and trust in spokespersons. With over 20 years of experience working the public relations and communication field, Dr. Myers infuses her classes with plentiful real world scenarios and activities to help students prepare for a successful career in public relations, mass media, and communication. She has served as a public relations director and marketing strategist in the non-profit, healthcare, and higher education sectors.
Dr. Myers lives in Ellensburg with her family, including a dog and a cat. When she’s not in the classroom, she enjoys exploring Ellensburg, being outside, and reading.
