Get to know our Faculty and Staff

Kenneth Kladnik has had robust experience as an athletic trainer and professor at Willamette University, University of Idaho, Oregon State University, Eastern Oregon University. He returned to Ellensburg in 2001 as the CWU head athletic trainer. Kenneth is an inductee in the National Athletic Trainers' Hall of Fame, Northwest Athletic Trainers' Hall of Fame, Washington State Athletic Trainers' Hall of Fame, Oregon Athletic Trainers' Society Hall of Fame and the Central Washington Athletic Hall of Fame, which is a committee that he currently chairs.

He is actively involved in Rodeo Sports Medicine, working for Justin Sports Medicine by providing medical coverage in rodeos throughout the Northwest. This position has allowed dozens of CWU students, who wish to become Athletic Trainers or Physical Therapists to gain experience working with professional rodeo athletes.

Kenneth has been married since 1973 and met his wife while they were both students at Central. They have a son, a daughter, and 6 grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family at their cabin at Lake Cle Elum.

Kladnik's research focus has been on the use of therapeutic modalities with emphasis on selection and proper use for the best clinical results.
