Get to know our Faculty and Staff

Dr. Dickinson’s research is focused on 1) understanding the cellular mechanisms that regulate skeletal muscle adaptation, and 2) preserving skeletal muscle health and function with advancing age. Dr. Dickinson embraces student engagement with his research, which often incorporates undergraduate and graduate students, and strives to integrate research experiences into his teaching efforts.

Dr. Dickinson joined the department of Health Sciences in January 2020. He primarily teaches courses within the Clinical Physiology and Exercise Science undergraduate programs. He also teaches and provides mentoring to graduate students within the Integrative Human Physiology graduate program. Dr. Dickinson serves as the Program Coordinator for the Bachelors of Science in Clinical Physiology.
