Get to know our Faculty and Staff
Gretchen Taussig-Simpson is a Senior Lecturer in the Health Sciences Department. Her primary role for the past 25 years has been to instruct classes for the Paramedic Program. Professor Taussig-Simpson has had the honor of being brought under the tutelage of Dorothy Purser whom started the Purser Paramedic Program.
When Professor Taussig-Simpson isn’t instructing classes, you may find her supporting athletes out on the field as a faculty affiliate or volunteering as an E.M.T. for the local KVFR (Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue) and SAR (Search and Rescue).

Research Interests
As an active member of the Wilderness Medical Society, research interests include extended patient care in remote settings, patient packaging with limited supplies, and how the outdoors may enhance one’s mental well-being.
