Get to know our Faculty and Staff

Dr. Ana Freire is an Associate Professor at CWU Health Sciences Department. She is a Physical Therapist with over 10 years of experience in rehabilitation interventions for pulmonary and cardiac conditions. Ana Freire teaches undergraduate courses primarily for Clinical Physiology and Exercise Sciences programs. She also serves as faculty for the Integrative Human Physiology graduate program.

Originally from São Paulo, Brazil she joined CWU team in 2022, contributing her clinical and research expertise in Rehabilitation Sciences. She hopes to improve students' learning experiences by using active learning practices and fostering a vibrant learning environment. Her aim is to bridge the gap between research and practice knowledge and to contribute to the evolving landscape of Rehabilitation Sciences.
