Heather Harrell

Heather Horn Johnson has been the Gallery Manager of the Sarah Spurgeon Gallery at Central Washington Univeristy since 2004. During those eighteen years she has curated or organized over one-hundred temporary art exhibitions and related programs. In 2016 she received the Outstanding Staff Award from the CWU College of Arts and Humanities. In addition to operating the gallery, she has been a lecturer in Gallery Management, Museum Studies, Western Modern and Contemporary Art History, and Asian Art History.
Prior to working at CWU Heather was both an Assistant Registrar and a Curatorial Coordinator of Asian Art at the Seattle Art Museum. Heather received her M.A. in Art History, with a certificate in Museum Studies, from Tufts Univeristy in 1999.
