Shawn Perez
Lecturer
Shawn Perez is an experienced educator and proven leader with over 18 years of classroom experience. She is a two-time National Board-Certified Teacher and holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology. Her dedication to student development is evident through her 18-year tenure as a DECA advisor, a role she finds particularly rewarding.
Currently, Shawn serves as co-president of the Washington Educators Business and Marketing Association and has previously served on the Washington DECA Board. Her contributions to education have been recognized with several awards, including the Community Leadership Award from the Washington Association of School Administrators in 2010 and the Washington DECA Advisor of the Year in 2023.
In 2021, Shawn took on the role of Career Guidance Specialist, where she encourages students to discover their career paths and navigate their educational journeys. She is deeply committed to Career and Technical Education (CTE), believing it provides students with essential connections and guidance from teachers who play a unique role in their development.
