Dan Martin

Associate Professor

Dr. Martin is an associate professor in the English Department and the director of composition and writing in the disciplines. He earned graduate degrees in rhetoric and composition and the digital humanities, and he is an associate editor of Kairos, A Journal of Technology, Rhetoric, and Pedagogy. Dr. Martin spends a significant amount of his time at CWU preparing graduate students to teach writing. He teaches graduate classes on composition history, theory, and pedagogy, and undergraduate classes on writing in the sciences, writing in the social sciences, and the digital humanities. Dr. Martin researches multimodal and digital writing, feedback theory, rhetoric and composition pedagogy, and writing across disciplines.
