Dr. Amanda Obery, Associate Professor


Biography

Dr. Obery works with people aspiring to become future elementary teachers! Her passion is ensuring that teacher candidates have the skills and knowledge needed to engage future generations with math and science. From her experiences teaching in rural schools to her training in West Virginia and Montana, Dr. Obery brings a deep appreciation for people and places to her research, teaching, and service. She believes that it is her privilege to give back to the communities and peoples that have supported her and the places she inhabits. Dr. Obery’s research centers on community engagement in science through principles of respect, responsibility, and reciprocity.
