Professor Chad Wassell

Background:

Professor Chad Wassell grew up in the West and relocated to Ellensburg after graduate school to focus on teaching rather than research, as well as to enjoy outdoor activities. In terms of teaching, his favorite part of the job is engaging with students outside of class. For research, he appreciates the freedom to explore any topic of interest, such as examining the impacts of dynamic pricing on MLB attendance, without the constraints typically found at research universities like the University of Washington. The outdoor recreation opportunities in Ellensburg are unparalleled, with activities such as mountaineering, skiing, and both road and mountain biking readily available.
