Elizabeth Ransom is an artist and researcher whose work explores the intersection of transnationality, feminism, and alternative photographic processes. Her practice draws on lived experiences of migration to examine homesickness, memory, and belonging through experimental image-making. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including in the UK, India, Mexico, China, Poland, and the United States.

Ransom holds a PhD in Photography from the University for the Creative Arts, where she specialized in alternative photographic processes. She also completed an MFA in Photography and a PGCE at the same institution in Farnham, England, and earned a BA in Fine Art from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington.

As the founder and director of the Women Alternative Photography Group, Ransom leads an international feminist research initiative celebrating women, trans, and non-binary artists working with alternative photographic processes. The project centers community, dialogue, and visibility for underrepresented voices.
