Richard Walling
Assistant Chief Flight Instructor
As an Assistant Chief Flight Instructor, I am dedicated to tracking student progress and providing the support they need to succeed in their training. Teaching is my true passion, and I take great pride in helping students reach their aviation goals.
My journey in aviation began at 14 with my first flight lesson, sparking a lifelong passion for flying. After earning my Private Pilot License at a flight school in Deer Park, Washington, I continued my training at Central Washington University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Professional Pilot and pursued my goal of becoming a flight instructor.
While my long-term aspiration is to move to Alaska and fly seaplanes, I am currently focused and deeply fulfilled in my role at CWU.
Beyond aviation, I enjoy camping, fishing, and hiking, often accompanied by my wife and our golden retriever, Clover.
