Anthony Davis
Assistant Professor
Anthony Davis was born in Japan, moved to the United States at age 15, and discovered his passion for aviation soon after. At 17, he committed to a career as a professional pilot and enrolled in the Central Washington University's Professional Pilot Degree Program in 2012, graduating in 2016.
Following graduation, Anthony began working as a flight instructor, primarily training CWU aviation students. He initially set out to become an airline pilot, but along the way, he discovered a deeper passion for teaching. Helping students grow into confident, capable pilots and watching them achieve their goals led him to shift his focus to aviation education. That calling ultimately shaped the direction of his career.
In 2018, Anthony was hired directly by CWU to teach both in the classroom and in the air. From 2018 to 2021, he split his time between ground instruction and flight training before transitioning fully to academic teaching. In 2022, he was appointed Chief Ground Instructor, where he helped lead the university’s FAA Part 141 ground school programs.
Anthony holds a Master’s degree in Commercial Aviation and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2024. He remains committed to supporting the next generation of aviation professionals through high-quality instruction, mentorship, and leadership within the CWU Aviation Program.
