TECHNICAL SERGEANT MARK L. BRATIC

Technical Sergeant Mark L. Bratic serves as an AFROTC Instructor of Air Force ROTC Detachment 895 at Central Washington University, Ellensburg, Washington.

Enlisting in the Air Force in 2010, Technical Sergeant Bratic began his journey with Basic Military Training at Lackland AFB in Texas. Following graduation, he honed his skills as a Weather Apprentice at Keesler AFB in Mississippi. He then served as a Weather Forecaster with the 15th Operational Weather Squadron for two years, before moving to the Tanker Airlift Command and Control Global Forecast position at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois.

Soon after, he was selected as a Battlefield Weather Forecaster for the Army at Camp Red Cloud in Korea, where he provided critical forecasts for ISR operations. His career then took him to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, where he performed administrative duties within the Air Force Materiel Command's A1W Functional office. Seeking new challenges, he relocated to Moody Air Force Base in Georgia, where he served as a Weather Craftsman, supporting Afghani pilot training and the Jolly Green Giants' search and rescue missions.

Technical Sergeant Bratic received his first deployment orders to Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base in Kuwait, where he contributed to Vermont National Guard operations in the Middle East. After two years, he was reassigned to Fort Hood, Texas, deploying to Camp Buehring, Kuwait, to assist with Army Brigade Combat staging operations in Saudi Arabia and Oman. Following a period of reduced tensions, he became the NCOIC of Airfield Weather Operations, managing a large medevac mission across 15 countries in the region.

Two years later, he returned to Scott AFB as a Shift Supervisor, where he oversaw resource protection for over $200 billion in assets, supporting more than 270,000 personnel, including presidential operations. Eager for warmer climates, Technical Sergeant Bratic then established weather operations for the 36th Contingency Response Squadron in Guam. After two successful years, he transitioned into his current role as an Air Force ROTC Instructor in Ellensburg, Washington, where he continues to shape the next generation of leaders.
