Bystander Intervention Training

Bystander Intervention Training gives students the tools necessary to step in during a situation that could lead to violence. Our Step Up! program helps build confidence in students, and helps them understand that as students of CWU, they have a responsibility to step up and help during these situations.
To sign up for a current training or to request a training for your group or organization, please contact the Wellness Center.

Responsible Employee Training

Treating People with Dignity and Respect is a mandatory training for all employees of CWU, and it needs to be taken every 3 years. In this presentation, there is a small section outlining what a responsible employee is, and what their responsibilities are regarding reporting sexual misconduct.
To sign up for this training, look online at Central Learning Academy.

SAVA (Sexual Assault Victim Advisor) Training

SAVA training is a training designed to help staff, students, and faculty know how to respond to someone who discloses an incident of sexual assault. It goes over statistics of sexual assault, resources, dos and don’ts, and give participants the opportunity to role play scenarios. Participants will walk away with handouts and resources to help them feel more comfortable if a student approaches them to disclose a sexual assault.
